Wisconsin looks to bounce back from a loss when it visits Iowa on Saturday night

The Wisconsin Badgers visit the Iowa Hawkeyes on Saturday night looking to bounce back from a loss. The Badgers saw their three-game winning streak come to a halt last Saturday when they lost to No. 3 Penn State 28-13. The loss dropped them to 5-3 overall and 3-2 in the Big Ten. They have now gone 0-3 against ranked teams this year and are undefeated against non-ranked teams. They are hoping to continue that trend against the Hawkeyes who are not currently in the Top 25. The Badgers will get a bye after their game with Iowa before a home game against No. 1 Oregon. It is not an easy stretch for the Badgers, but they are hoping to get a win before they head into a break. Braedyn Locke has played well at quarterback since coming in for an injured Tyler Van Dyke. Locke has thrown for 1,281 yards and seven touchdowns. He has thrown six interceptions, though, and will need to protect the ball better if they want to beat an Iowa team with a great defense.

The Hawkeyes come into Saturday after beating Northwestern last week 40-14. The win helped them avoid a second straight loss and improved their record to 5-3 overall and 3-2 in the Big Ten.

They were coming off an upset loss at the hands of Michigan State, but made sure it wouldn’t happen again against the Wildcats.

Brendan Sullivan replaced an ineffective Cade McNamara at quarterback and he went 9-41 for 79 yards and rushed for another 41 and a touchdown against the Wildcats.

Sullivan looks like he will get the start against the Badgers as the Hawkeyes look to secure bowl eligibility.
