No. 4 Alabama (14-3) had its eight-game winning streak ended on Tuesday and now looks to bounce back on Saturday when it visits No. 8 Kentucky (14-3) at Rupp Arena for a matinee game. The Wildcats have won their last two games and both teams are 3-1 in Southeastern Conference play. The Crimson Tide have played in the last four NCAA tournaments and made their first Final Four appearance last spring. Kentucky has a string of three straight March Madness bids but haven’t advanced beyond the opening weekend since 2019.

The Wildcats improved to 11-0 at home with an 81-69 win on Tuesday over No. 11 Texas A&M. Jaxson Robinson went for 22 points, Andrew Carr — playing through a back injury — added 13 and Amari Williams grabbed 12 reboubds. Otega Oweh leads the team at 15.4 points per game, with Lamont Butler netting 13.4 points a night and Williams averaging 9.8 points and 8.6 boards.
Visiting No. 21 Ole Miss ambused Alabama in the second half on Tuesday, dealing the sloppy Tide — who turned the ball over 21 times — their first home loss in a 74-64 decision. Aden Holloway paced the offense with 15 points and Mark Sears added 11. Sears scores 18.6 points per game and Grant Nelson averages 12.0 points and 8.6 rebounds.
Kentucky is 117-41 all-time against Alabama and won last year’s lone meeting 117-95 at Rupp Arena on Feb. 24. Mark Pope left BYU to take over the Wildcat program this season while Nate Oats is 131-57 in his sixth year leading the Crimson Tide.
