Aden Holloway and No. 4 Alabama will take the court in an SEC battle against Josh Hubbard and No. 14 Mississippi State on Wednesday in college basketball.

Alabama, the No. 4 ranked men’s college basketball team in the country, will travel on Wednesday to face No. 14 Mississippi State in a showdown between two SEC schools. The Alabama Crimson Tide are 17-3 overall this season. After going 11-2 against non-conference opponents, they are 6-1 against teams from the SEC. They are a half-game back from conference-leading No. 1 Auburn.

Their only conference loss this season came against No. 23 Ole Miss in the middle of January. They played two games last week, starting with a big win over Vanderbilt by 16 points. Mouhamed Dioubate led the Tide with 22 points on 8-of-9 shooting. Over the weekend, they took down LSU at home in Tuscaloosa by seven points. Aden Holloway led the team in that win with 19 points despite shooting 5-of-14.

The Mississippi State Bulldogs are 16-4 overall this season They are also 4-3 against conference teams, tied with No. 24 Vanderbilt, No. 8 Tennessee, No. 13 Texas A&M, and No. 23 Ole Miss. They are 2.5 games back from the conference-leading Auburn and two games back from their opponent.

Mississippi State opened up last week with a loss on the road at the Volunteers. Despite the 12-point loss, Josh Hubbard still dropped 14 points on 5-of-16 shooting to lead the team. Over the weekend, the team went on the road and beat South Carolina in overtime by five points. Riley Kugel had 15 points to lead Mississippi State in that win.
