Haggerty led Memphis again in that win with 22 points in a game-high. He also had five rebounds and four assists. Tyrese Hunter, the ex-Texas star, had 16 points and three rebounds.

The Alabama-Birmingham Blazers are 12-7 this season. After finishing just 8-6 against non-conference teams, they have since gone 5-1 against teams in the American Athletic Conference. They are also tied for the lead in the conference. They didn’t take the court last weekend and have played just one time in the last 11 days.

In that one game last Tuesday, they beat UTSA by three points at home. Yaxel Lendeborg led UAB with 24 points on 7-of-13 shooting with a team-high 14 rebounds. He also had a team-high seven assists in 37 minutes. Christian Coleman had 14 points and nine rebounds with two assists in 35 minutes as well for UAB.
