The No. 3-seeded Alabama will take on the No. 2-seeded Florida in a semifinal matchup in the Southeastern Conference Tournament in men’s college basketball at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee, on Saturday afternoon. The No. 3-seeded Crimson Tide are also the No. 5-ranked team in the nation in the AP poll. They are 25-7 heading into this round after finishing 13-5 against teams in the conference. They opened up play in the quarterfinal round on Friday night against the No. 15-ranked team in the country Kentucky.

Kentucky took down Oklahoma on Thursday before this matchup. Alabama won that game by 29 points in a game that was over as soon as it started. On an off night for Mark Sears, the team’s leading scorer, Labaron Philon picked up the slack, dropping 21 points. Jarin Stevenson also came off the bench and played 19 minutes, scoring 16 points.

The No. 2-seeded Gators are 28-4 overall this season and the No. 4-ranked team in the nation. They finished 14-4 against SEC teams, just one game up on their opponent. They opened up play in the quarterfinal round on Friday night against the No. 21-ranked team in the country, Missouri.

Missouri took down Mississippi State on Thursday before this matchup. Florida equally destroyed Missouri, 95-81, on Friday night. Walter Clayton Jr led the team with 18 points and a team-high six assists. Both Will Richard and Alijah Martin had 17 points as well. Thomas Haugh came off the bench and dropped 16 point with seven rebounds and five assists in the win.
