Adou Thiero and Arkansas will take the court against Brandon Johnson and Miami in the ACC/SEC Challenge on Tuesday night in college basketball.

Arkansas, from the SEC, will travel to Coral Gables, Florida on Tuesday night in the opening night of the SEC/ACC Challenge. In Florida, the Razorbacks will face-off with Miami, from the ACC. The Razorbacks are 5-2 overall this season, losing their second game in their last contest at home against Illinois. They lost that game by 13 points, including being down by 15 points at the halftime break. Adou Thiero dropped 26 points with six rebounds despite the loss. Johnell Davis led the team with six assists as well.

That was their second loss of the season after suffering a five-point defeat at the hands of the former No. 8 ranked Baylor in their second game of the season. Outside of those two losses, they have beaten Lipscomb, Troy, Pacific, Little Rock, and MD Eastern all at home in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Thiero leads the team in scoring this season, averaging 19.1 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 2.9 steals per game.

The Hurricanes had a rough November, losing more games than they won and heading into this month with a 3-4 record. They opened up with three wins in the Watsco Center against Fairleigh Dickinson, Binghamton, and Coppin State. They went on to lost all three games in the Shriners Children’s Charleston Classic against Drake, Oklahoma State, and VCU.

The slide continued after the tournament, as the team went back home in its last game of the month and lost to Charleston Southern by four points, led by 23 points from Brandon Johnson. Nijel Pack leads the team in scoring this season averaging 15.2 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 4.7 assists per game this season.
