Baylor, the No. 25 ranked men’s college basketball team in the country, will travel to Ames, Iowa, on Saturday afternoon for a Big 12 showdown. In Ames, they will face off against the No. 3 ranked team in the nation, Iowa State, at the Hilton Coliseum. The Iowa State Cyclones (11-1, 1-0) transition into conference play after finishing with double-digit non-conference wins. Their only loss against a non-conference opponent came in the first round of the Maui Invitational when they lost to No. 2-ranked Auburn by two points after being up double-digits in the first half.

They opened up December with a win over former No. 5 Marquette in the Big 12-Big East Battle by 11 points at home and went on to beat Iowa in the Iowa Corn Cy-Hawk Series on the road. They bring an eight-game winning streak into this second conference game. Keshon Gilbert leads Iowa State in scoring this season. The Baylor Bears (9-3, 1-0) had a tough non-conference schedule, leaving 8-3 against those teams.
