Norchad Omier and No. 6 ranked Baylor will take the court against Boogie Fland and No. 16 Arkansas on Saturday.

The No. 8 ranked team in the nation, Baylor, will head on the road in the first weekend of college basketball to take on the No. 16 ranked team in the country, Arkansas, at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas, on Saturday night. The Bears dropped their first game of the season on college basketball’s opening night on Monday against the No. 6 ranked team in the country, Gonzaga, at the Findlay Auto Tip-Off.
They will turn around and take on another top-25-ranked team in their second game tonight. They were embarrassed by Gonzaga on Monday, 101-63. Only three players finished in double figures for Baylor, led by former Miami Hurricane Norchad Omier. He had 15 points and nine rebounds in his first game with Baylor. Robert Wright III came off the bench and had 12 points and six assists in 30 minutes. Freshman VJ Edgecombe had just four points, shooting 2-for-11 from the floor.
The No. 15 ranked team in the country, the Razorbacks, were also able to get a win in their first game of the season with a 16-point home win over Lipscomb on Wednesday. They held an 11-point lead at the halftime break and won the second half by just five. Three of the five starters for John Calipari and his new team ended in double figures.
The team was led by Boogie Fland. The freshman guard had 17 points, three rebounds, and three assists despite shooting just 1-for-8 from three. Calipari brought Zvonimir and Adou Thiero with him. The two of them combined for 20 points. The FAU transfer Johnell Davis had 15 points and six rebounds in the win.
