The third-seeded Portland State Vikings take on the sixth-seeded Idaho Vandals in the Big Sky Tournament on Monday.

The Big Sky Tournament rolls into the third round with third-seeded Portland State (19-12) looking to pull off the sweep and advance to the semifinals on Monday. The Vikings took care of business in both regular season games against sixth-seeded Idaho (13-18), winning at home and on the road. Those two games were very similar with the Vikings scoring 76 and 75 points respectively, while holding the Vandals to just 66.0 points per game. Senior Isaiah Johnson led the way with 22 points and seven rebounds in the most recent win, which saw the Vikings jump out to a 20-point lead at the half and then hold on down the stretch to sweep the regular season series with the Vandals.

Terri Miller Jr. (14 points and six rebounds) and Cole Farrell (13 points off the bench) also scored in double figures in the win. The first game was less competitive with the Vikings winning both halves and closing out strongly for a 75-63 win.

In that win, four Vikings players scored in double figures. Miller Jr. led the way with 17 points, Tre-Vaughn Minott scored 16 points on 7-of-7 shooting, Jaylin Henderson stuffed the statsheet with 14 points, six rebounds and four assists. Qiant Myers paced the offense with 11 points and seven assists.

Freshman Kolton Mitchell has been the Vandals best player this season against the Vikings, going for 26 points, 11 assists and nine rebounds in the two losses. The winner here advances to the semifinals of the Big Sky Tournament.
