The Big Sky Tournament heads into the third round with the Montana State Bobcats and Idaho State Bengals.

For the third time this season Montana State (14-17) takes on Big Sky rivals Idaho State (15-14), but this time with each team’s season on the line. The Bengals were on a roll to close out the season winning four straight. However, they lost the regular season finale and look to get back in the win column against the Bobcats in the Big Sky Tournament. In the regular season the teams split the first two games with each team winning at home. The Bobcats won the most recent matchup after building a modest lead in the first half. Jabe Mullins came off the bench to lead four players in double-figures in a well-balanced offensive performance from the Bobcats.

Mullins led the way with 17 points on 6-11 shooting from the field. Brandon Walker (15 points and four assists), Max Afbonkpolo (14 points and seven rebounds) and Patrick McMahon (11 points off the bench) also finished in double-figures scoring in the win.

Dylan Darling went for 27 points in the loss on 4-6 shooting from three in the loss. In the Bengals win earlier in the season Darling paced the offense with 19 points, five assists and five rebounds filling up the statsheet. Connor Hollenbeck led the way with 22 points going 4-6 from three.

In the loss the Bobcats were led by Walker and Tyler Patterson with 18 points each while the rest of the team combined for just 31 points. The winner here advances to the semifinals in the top half of the bracket.
