Boise State will travel to Logan, Utah, on Saturday night for a Mountain West Conference showdown in men’s college basketball. In Logan, they will take on the No. 25 ranked team in the nation, Utah State, at the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum. The Utah State Aggies (15-1, 5-0) are one of two undefeated teams in the conference through five games in the MWC. They are joined at the top of the standings by New Mexico. They closed out December with a huge win on the road at former No. 20 ranked San Diego State by just one point on the pack of a 17-point, game-high performance from Ian Martinez.

They ended 2024 on a high note again on the road, beating Nevada by five points. Entering the new year, they took down Fresno State by six points before joining the AP Top 25 rankings. Earlier this week, they beat San José State on the road by seven points. Mason Falslev leads Utah State in scoring this season, averaging 16.8 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game.

The Boise State Broncos (12-4, 4-1) are right behind the two aforementioned undefeated conference teams with just one loss this season. They are the only team with one loss and four wins in the MWC. Their only loss in the conference came against San Diego State at home as their first game of 2025, losing by eight points.

Before that, they beat San José State and Wyoming on the road and most recently, they took down UNLV, earlier this week, by 22 points. Tyson Degenhart, the long-time Bronco, leads the team in scoring this season. The 6-foot-8 forward from Washington is averaging 17.7 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game.
