The team’s leading scorer Tyson Degenhart led the team in that win with 19 points on 8-of-12 shooting. They took on the Big East’s Butler on Wednesday night in the second round and won by seven points, putting up 100 themselves. Javan Buchanan led the team with 27 points on 11-of-13 shooting in the win. Degenhart led the team with seven rebounds and five assists with 21 points.

The Cornhuskers came into this tournament with a 17-14 overall record looking to win the College Basketball Crown. On Monday, they opened up their tournament run with an eight-point win over Arizona State in the first round. Brice Williams led the team, dropping 30 points on 8-of-16 shooting in the win.

They survived and advanced to the second round on Wednesday night when they took on Georgetown of the Big East Conference. They won that game more decisively, 81-69. Williams led the team again with 28 points on 8-of-14 shooting while Juwan Gary had the team’s only double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds.
