Patriot League play continues on Saturday with a game between Lafayette and Bucknell as the teams look to move up in the standings.
A Patriot league matchup will see Bucknell traveling to take on Lafayette on Saturday as Bucknell looks to complete the sweep over the Leopards. The Bison are 12-14 overall with an 8-5 Patriot League record which puts the team in third place in the conference standings. The latest game for the Bison was played on Wednesday against Boston University and resulted in a 76-60 victory. Josh Bascoe led the scoring with 17 points while Elvin Edmonds IV added an additional 13 points while Noah Williamson came up just short of earning a double-double with eight points and nine rebounds. The Bison shot 43 percent from beyond the arc and added 28 points in the paint.

The Leopards are 10-16 overall and have a 5-8 Patriot League record which puts them in eighth place in the league table. The team’s most recent game was played on Monday night and resulted in a tough 60-58 loss to American at the buzzer. In the loss, Layette was led by Andrew Phillips and Alex Chaikin who scored 17 and 16 points, respectively. Justin Vander Baan led the Leopards with eight rebounds and added an additional eight points. On the season, Chaikin and Phillips each are averaging a team high 12.1 points per game.
Lafayette and Bucknell have met a total of 53 times and the Bison currently hold the lead in the series at 35-18. The teams have already met once this season and the game went in Bucknell’s favor in a narrow 65-62 victory.
