Ryan Sabol led the Bulls’ offense with a 22-point performance while three other Buffalo players finished in double figures. Anquan Boldin Jr. put up 14 points while Ben Michaels and Tyson Dunn scored 13 and 12 points, respectively. Dunn led on the boards with nine rebounds, narrowly missing a double-double in front of a home crowd. The team went 40.6 percent from the field, but only 32 percent from long range; an area that will need work as the team prepares for conference play.

The Nittany Lions have gotten off to a strong start this season and are currently 6-1. The team’s only loss came against Clemson on Tuesday in a tough 75-67 defeat in the Sunshine Slam. Ace Baldwin Jr. led all scorers with 20 points and added 11 assists for a double-double in the team’s first loss of the season. Yanic Konan Niederhauser, Nick Kern and Freddie Dilione V each pulled down six rebounds to lead on the boards, but the team ultimately came up short against a strong Clemson roster.

Penn State and Buffalo will meet for the ninth time in program history and the first time since 2004 on Sunday. The Nittany Lions own a 6-2 advantage in the all-time series that dates back to 1921 with the latest game being a narrow 72-70 victory that went in Buffalo’s favor. Tune in Sunday to see if Penn State can improve to 7-1 which would be the team’s best start since the 2019-2020 season.
