Chattanooga and Bradley will meet for a chance to earn a semifinal spot on Tuesday in NIT quarterfinal play.
The first quarterfinal game of the 2025 NIT Tournament has the fifth-seeded Chattanooga Mocs traveling to Carver Arena in Peoria, Illinois to take on the third-seeded Bradley University Braves on Tuesday. Bradley entered the tournament and defeated the second-seeded George Mason Patriots 86-69 in the second round to earn a quarterfinal spot. In the win, forward Corey Thomas came off the bench to score a game-high and season-high 21 points. Thomas also led all rebounders with 11 to earn a double-double in the win. Christian Davis also scored 21 points for the Braves, which ties his previous season-high. On the season, Davis is leading the scoring average for Bradley with 13.5 points per game. Darius Hannah leads the Braves in rebound with 5.9 rebounds per game.

Chattanooga entered the tournament unseeded and defeated fourth-seeded Middle Tennessee in triple overtime. In the second round, Chattanooga defeated top-seeded Dayton 87-72 in a surprising turn of events. Two players for the Mocs scored 20+ points with Honor Huff and Trey Bonham scoring 26 and 25 points, respectively. Bonham led the rebounding efforts with eight rebounds to narrowly miss a double-double. On the season, Bonham averages 14.1 points per game and he scored 27 points in the opening round, triple overtime win. Huff is averaging 15.2 points per game to lead the Mocs offensively.
Chattanooga and Bradley have met three times in their history and the Mocs hold a narrow 2-1 lead in the series. The last meeting between the two teams took place in 2002 and resulted in an 82-70 win for the Mocs.
