The Utah Utes head into this outing at home with an 11-8 overall this season with a 3-5 record against teams in the conference. They are tied with TCU and just a game above their opponent. They ended up winning that game by one point, 73-72, led by a career-high 26 points from Ezra Ausar on 11-of-15 shooting. Lawson Lovering also had 13 points, seven rebounds, and four assists on the night which are all better than his season averages. That momentum quickly ended on Saturday with a 15-point home loss against Baylor. Ausar had 19 points on 7-of-12 shooting to lead the team in that loss.
