With the visitors riding a three-game winning streak in conference play into this weekend’s matchup, No. 18 Clemson visits ACC foe SMU at Moody Coliseum in Dallas on Saturday. 

Clemson has the second-best record in the ACC as winners of nine of their last 10 games. The Tigers are 21-5 overall with a 13-3 record in conference play. After losing a triple-overtime game to conference rival Georgia Tech, Clemson bounced back with its biggest win of the year over No. 2 Duke during this three-game winning streak. The Mustangs, on the other hand, are 20-6 overall with an 11-4 conference record and an 11-4 home pace. These two teams are an even 1-1 in their series history.

Most recently, Clemson dominated conference rival Florida State by a final score of 72-46 in Tallahassee last Saturday. Dillon Hunter finished the game with a career-high 17 points, while Ian Schieffelin scored 14 points and grabbed 12 rebounds. Clemson’s defense suffocated Malique Ewin to just six points and six rebounds in the win. 

As for SMU, the Mustangs hit the 20-win mark with a 97-73 victory over Notre Dame in South Bend on Wednesday night. Kario Oquendo led the way with a team-high 25 points while Samet Yigitoglu and Matt Cross added 14 points each. The Mustangs are now 6-1 on the road in their first season in the ACC.
