Michigan hosts Cleveland State on Monday night in the season opener for both teams
The Michigan Wolverines welcome the Cleveland State Vikings to town on Monday night as they look to open the Dusty May era with a win. May came to Michigan after a successful run at FAU in which he lead the Owls to a historic trip to the Final Four. May has completely flipped the roster from a Michigan team that won just eight games last year. The Wolverines won their first three games of the season and were 6-5 after 11, but they would win just two of their last 21 games. It was a horrible season for the Wolverines and it cost Juwan Howard his job and led to the hiring of May. The Wolverines are now hoping they can make a quick turnaround and get back to the NCAA tournament this season. They have a tough early schedule as they will take on Wake Forest and TCU in the two games after Monday and they will also head to Ft. Myers for a tournament over Thanksgiving week.

The Vikings are hoping that they can come to town and put a damper on the opener for May and the Wolverines.
The Vikings had a good season as they went 21-15 and made the CBI Tournament. They beat Northern Colorado in the first round of the tournament, but fell to High Point in the quarterfinals to end their season.
The Vikings will also play at Kansas State and Minnesota as they play three major conference opponents in the non-conference part of their schedule.
