Joe Bamisile will face Connor Kochera as VCU meets Davidson in an Atlantic 10 battle on Friday night.

Davidson will travel to Richmond, Virginia, at the end of this week for a men’s college basketball game between two Atlantic 10 Conference teams. The Virginia Commonwealth Rams are 23-5 overall this season heading into this weekend. They are tied for the No. 1 spot in the A10 Conference with George Mason with a 13-2 record against teams in the conference. They are three games up on Loyola Chicago and four games up on the next four teams. Seven games separate these two teams playing tonight.

They are looking to complete a perfect February after winning all seven games they have played thus far, including their most recent two against George Mason and Richmond. Their only conference losses came against Saint Louis and St. Bonaventure. Joe Bamisile leads the team in scoring this season, averaging 15.5 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game.

The Davidson Wildcats are 16-12 overall this season, but after going 10-3 against non-conference teams, they have fallen to just 6-9 against teams in the conference. They are tied with Rhode Island and UMass while sitting 1.5 games ahead of Richmond. They are also a half-game back from George Washington and St. Bonaventure.

In the last week, they took on Fordham and won by 11 points on the road. Bobby Durkin led the team with 20 points and 13 rebounds in Davidson’s only double-double. He also had five assists. Reed Bailey and Connor Kochera also had 17 points each. Earlier this week, they returned home and lost by one point to Saint Louis, 57-56. Kochera had 22 points in that loss.
