The Dayton Flyers will take a trip to Missouri on Friday for an Atlantic 10 matchup with the Saint Louis Billikens at Chaifetz Arena. The Flyers are currently in fifth place in the A-10 standings with a conference record of 4-4 and an overall record of 14-7. On Tuesday, the team traveled to New York to play St. Bonaventure and fell in a lopsided 75-53 defeat. While the score was tied four times and saw four lead changes, those took play early in the game before the Bonnies pulled away. The Flyers trailed by seven at halftime and were unable to keep things close in the second half. Only two of Dayton’s players were able to make it into double figures as the St. Bonaventure defense shut down Dayton’s offense. Nate Santos led the Flyers in scoring with 12 points and Enoch Cheeks added 10 points to the scoreboard.

The Billikens bring an overall record of 13-8 into Friday’s game while holding a record of 6-2 in A-10 play for a spot in third place in the standings. The team’s most recent game was played against second place VCU on Tuesday and resulted in a big 78-69 win in front of a home crowd of 6700. Gibson Jimerson led the Billikens’ offense with a game-high 26 points and led three more to double digit finishes. Kobe Johnson turned in a 19-point performance, Robbie Avila added 14 to the scoreboard and Isaiah Swope added 10 points to the scoreboard. Dayton and Saint Louis have met 41 times in their history and the Flyers hold a 27-14 lead in the all-time series. The teams met twice last year and Dayton won both meeting with the second being a big 100-83 victory on the road.
