The No. 16-seeded Mount St. Mary’s will take on No. 1-seeded Duke in the first round of the NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship tournament on Friday night at the Lenovo Center in an East Region matchup. The No. 16-seeded Mountaineers finished their season with a 23-12 record overall. They were the No. 4 team in their conference, opening tournament play against Marist in the quarterfinals. They advanced to beat Merrimack in the semifinals and won the automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament after bating Iona in the MAAC Championship game.
