Duquesne and Richmond will look to move up in the standings with a win on Wednesday in college basketball.

The Duquesne Dukes will head to Virginia on Wednesday for an Atlantic 10 matchup against the Richmond Spiders in college basketball at the Robins Center. The Spiders are currently at the bottom of the conference standings with an A-10 record of 2-7 and an overall record of 7-15. The team has lost seven straight games with the most recent being a tough 90-49 defeat by VCU on Saturday at home. The Rams jumped out to an early lead against the Spiders and never looked back, leading 44-13 at halftime. While the Spiders played well in the second half, the deficit was too much to make up. Dusan Neskovic was the only Richmond player in double figures with 12 points as the team finished shooting just 32 percent from the field and 31 percent from long range.

The Dukes have struggled this season after winning the Atlantic 10 Tournament last season and making it past the first round of the NCAA tournament. The team is currently in 12th place in the A-10 standings with a conference record of 4-5 and an overall record of 9-13. The team has now lost four games in a row after dropping 62-53 home game against UMass on Saturday. The Minutemen held just two Dukes to double digit finishes with Tre Dinkins III scoring 11 points and Cam Crawford scoring 10 points. Jahsean Corbett led the team on the boards with nine rebounds, coming up short of a double-double by one rebound and one basket.

Duquesne and Richmond have met a total of 33 times in their history and the Spiders hold a 27-6 lead in the series. When the teams met last season, the Spiders earned a narrow 63-61 victory in Pittsburgh.
