Florida, the No. 5 ranked team in men’s college basketball, will travel to face No. 7 Alabama in a men’s college basketball matchup. The Florida Gators are 25-4 overall this season and looking to start back up a winning streak going into conference tournament next week. They are 12-4 against teams in the SEC, tied with their opponent and three games behind the conference-leading and nation’s top team, Auburn.

They lost last week on the road against Georgia by five points in a rough, unranked loss. However, they bounced back over the weekend, beating former No. 12 Texas A&M by 19 points at home in Gainesville. Will Richard, one of the team’s leaders alongside Walter Clayton Jr., led the team in scoring in that win with 25 points on 9-of-13 shooting.

The Alabama Crimson Tide are 23-6 overall this season and are also looking to make this their rebound win after they had to take on former No. 5 Tennessee over the weekend and lost by three points on the road. Mark Sears, the team’s leading scorer, had 24 points and four assists, while Grant Nelson had a team-high 12 rebounds and seven points.

They are tied with their opponent and also three games back of Auburn. They are also one game ahead of Tennessee still in the SEC standings. Prior to that Tennessee loss, they won their last two games of February in two other ranked contests. They took down former No. 17 Kentucky and No. 24 Mississippi State in back-to-back games.
