Florida State and Syracuse will open postseason play on Tuesday night with a first round game in the ACC Tournament.

The 14th-seeded Syracuse Orange will take on the 11th-seeded Florida State Seminoles on Tuesday night in the first round of the ACC Tournament at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. The Orange struggled in conference play this season, finishing the regular season with an ACC record of 7-13 and an overall record of 13-18. The team was able to pick up a win during its conference play finale on Saturday, beating Virginia 84-70 at home. Eddie Lampkin Jr. led all scorers with 25 points and also pulled down a team-high 10 rebounds to earn a double-double in the win. Jyáre Davis and Lucas Taylor each added 15 points to the scoreboard to help the team finish with a shooting percentage of 59 from the field and 42 from long range.

The Seminoles come into tournament play with an overall record of 17-14 and an ACC record of 8-12 following the conclusion of regular season play. On Saturday, the team hosted SMU, pulling off the upset with a 76-69 victory in front of 5600 fans. Malique Ewin led the Florida State offense with 26 points while Jamir Watkins and Jerry Deng joined him in double figures with 20 and 11 points, respectively. Ewin and Watkins handled rebounding responsibilities as they each pulled down eight to lead the Seminoles on the boards.

Florida State and Syracuse met in conference play way back in December and the Seminoles won handily in a 90-74 victory at home. Tune in on Tuesday night to see which of these teams is able to stay alive in the postseason with a win.
