They are 0.5 games ahead of UMass and 1.5 games in front of Fordham. They beat former No. 6 Marquette in December before losing to former No. 19 Cincinnati, just two games later.

The George Mason Patriots are 12-5 overall this season and 3-1 against teams in the Atlantic 10 conference. They are 0.5 games behind conference-leading Saint Louis, who is undefeated in the conference. They are also 0.5 games up on four teams tied at 2-1 in the conference. They opened January with a loss against Rhode Island on the road by just three points.
