George Washington, St. Bonaventure look to get back into the win column when they meet in an A-10 clash on Sunday
St. Bonaventure (17-7) comes off a road loss that dropped it to 5-6 in the Atlantic 10 Conference as it gets ready to host George Washington (15-8) on Sunday at the Reilly Center in St. Bonaventure, New York. The Revolutionaries have lost two straight, falling to 4-6 in the A-10 and are 2-5 on the road, while the Bonnies are 10-2 at home this season. St. Bonaventure last played in the NCAA tournament in 2021 and reached the semifinals of the 2022 NIT. GW’s last Big Dance bid was in 2014 and it hasn’t gone to the postseason since reaching the quarterfinals of the 2017 College Basketball Invitational.

George Washington erased a 13-point second-half deficit and led 50-48 at home with 1:56 remaining before conference-leading George Mason scored the game’s final five points on Wednesday night for a 53-50 victory. Christian Jones had 17 points, Trey Autry added 11 and Rafael Castro finished with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Gerald Drumgoole Jr. leads the team at 13.0 points per game while Castro averages 12.5 points and 9.2 boards.
The Bonnies had trouble slowing the Loyola Chicago transition game in a 77-53 road loss on Tuesday. Melvin Council Jr. led the offense with 13 points and Chance Moore tossed in 11. Council gets a team-high 14.4 points per game while Moore averages 13.6 points and 6.9 rebounds.
The Revolutionaries lead the all-time series 37-30 and have won the last two meetings, including an 86-75 win at home on March 6. Mark Schmidt is 319-233 in his 18th year at St. Bonaventure while Chris Caputo has a 46-41 record in his third season at George Washington.
