Houston, the No. 3 ranked men’s college basketball team in the nation, will travel to Waco, Texas, this weekend in a Big 12 Conference season finalé for these teams. On Saturday night, it will match up with Baylor at the Foster Pavilion. The Houston Cougars are 26-4 overall this season and bring a nine-game winning streak into this weekend, hitting a hot streak and riding it all the way into conference tournaments. Their last loss was the first game in February against the now No. 9-ranked Texas Tech.

That was also their only conference loss, with an 18-1 record against Big 12 teams, creating a four-game gap between them and Texas Tech and Arizona. They will need a miracle in the Big 12 Championship to win an automatic bid to go dancing in March. However, with two straight wins, they have momentum heading into this game. They beat Oklahoma State by 10 points at home and TCU on the road by two points in their last games. Norchad Omier, the former Miami Hurricane, leads the team, averaging a double-double with 15.7 points and 10.5 rebounds per game.
