Incarnate Word will travel to North Carolina in men’s college basketball on Tuesday night to play No. 9 Duke. at Cameron Indoor Stadium. The Blue Devils are 7-2 overall this season. Their only two losses this year came against Kentucky, now the No. 4 ranked team in the country, and the former top-ranked team in the nation, Kansas. They have several quality wins already this season, which started with a 14-point win over former No. 17 ranked Arizona.

Freshman phenom Cooper Flagg led the team in the win with 24 points. Their second massive win came earlier this month against former No. 2-ranked Auburn by just six points. Flagg led the team again with 22 points and 11 rebounds with four assists. Isaiah Evans hit six three-pointers in the win, totaling 18 points off the bench in 16 minutes.
The Cardinals are 5-4 overall this season. They opened up the season with three wins in their first four games. However, they ended the first month with a 1-2 record in the last three games. Since the start of December, they lost by two points at home to Northwestern State. They bounced back in their most recent game against East Texas A&M with a 12-point win at home.
Davion Bailey leads the team in scoring this season as a senior center. In his first year at Incarnate Word after transferring in from Ball State he is averaging 17.7 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game. Jalin Anderson follows him, averaging 14.7 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 6.2 assists per game in his first season after transferring with Bailey from Ball State.
