The USC Trojans host the Iowa Hawkeyes on Tuesday night in college basketball as they try and win a second straight game. The Trojans snapped a two-game losing streak on Saturday when they went to Illinois and upset the No. 13 Fighting Illini 82-72. They were coming off back-to-back double-digit losses to Michigan and Indiana, but they erased a halftime deficit and outscored Illinois by 13 in the second half to get the win. Desmond Claude was great for the Trojans, as he scored a game-high 31 points. Wesley Yeates III added 15 and Rashuan Agee scored 13 to help the Trojans get the win. Claude is now averaging a team-high 15.9 points per game. Saint Thomas is the team’s top rebounder at 6.0 boards per game, while also scoring 9.7 points per game.

The Hawkeyes come into Tuesday on a two-game winning streak after beating both Nebraska and Indiana at home. They needed overtime to beat the Cornhuskers, but they whipped the Hoosiers by 25 points on Saturday night.

They have now won five of their last six games and they sit at 12-4 overall and 3-2 in the Big Ten. Both of their conference losses have come on the road and they will look to get their first road Big Ten win on Tuesday night.

Payton Sandfort and Owen Freeman have both been good for the Hawkeyes this season, as they are averring 16.9 and 16.6 points per game repsectively.

Freeman is also the team’s top rebounder at 6.7 boards per game. Josh Dix, 14.6 points per game, and Drew Thelwell, 10.2 points per game, are the other two players averaging double figures this season.
