Iowa State scored a program-record 132 points on Wednesday night, hitting a school-record 22 3-pointers on 30 attempts (73.3%) in the process of demolishing visiting Alcorn State 132-68. Junior Milan Momcilovic led the onslaught with 27 points, including hitting 8-of-9 from deep, to go with five steals while senior Joshua Jefferson finished with 24 points and 10 assists. Freshman Jamarion Batemon came off the bench for 26 points as well.

The Boilermakers got out to a big early lead and was never seriously threatened in their 81-65 victory at Rutgers on Tuesday night in their Big Ten opener. Senior Trey Kaufman-Renn finished with 19 points and 13 rebounds while senior Braden Smith went for 16 points and eight assists. Senior Fletcher Loyer tossed in 12 points and sophomore reserve Gicarri Harris added 11.

Purdue leads the all-time series between the teams 3-2, with an 80-76 win in their most recent matchup on March 18, 2017, in the second round of the NCAA tournament.
