KJ Adams Jr and Kansas will take the court against L.J. Cryer and No. 4 Houston in a Big 12 battle on Monday night.

The Kansas Jayhawks will travel to Houston, Texas, to begin the last week of the regular season with a Big 12 Conference game. On Monday night, they will battle with the Houston Cougars, the No. 4 ranked men’s college basketball team in the nation, at the Fertitta Center. The Cougars 25-4 overall this season heading into this week, sitting on top of the conference with a 17-1 record in the Big 12. Their only loss came against Texas Tech at the beginning of February.

They bring an eight-game winning streak into this game, including a rematch win over Texas Tech. Over the weekend, they picked up a win at home against Cincinnati by nine points. L.J. Cryer led the team with 20 points on 7-of-13 shooting. Only him and Terrance Arceneaux finished in double figures.

The Jayhawks have fallen out of the AP Top 25 after losing two of their last four games to end February. They are now just 10-8 against teams in the conference, sitting seven games back from their opponent. They ended the month with two wins, beating Oklahoma State and Colorado.

However, they opened March over the weekend with a loss at home against Texas Tech by five points. In the 78-73 loss, KJ Adams led the team with 21 points on 10-of-12 shooting and a team-high 13 rebounds. Dajuan Harris led the team with seven assists, paired with five rebounds and six points.
