VonCameron Davis led the team in that win with 20 points on 7-of-19 shooting in the game-high. They went on the road after that loss and beat Northern Illinois by 18 points on the back of a 31-point game and team-high performance from Davis, who shot 14-for-28 from the floor. This season, Davis is averaging 16.4 points, 4.1 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.4 steals per game to lead Kent State.

The Buffalo Bulls (5-9, 0-2) are off to a rough start in MAC play after a rough 5-7 non-conference schedule. They started 2025 on the road in Oxford, Ohio, at Miami and lost by 14 points, despite Ryan Sabol having a game-high 25 points on 8-of-11 shooting. They came home after the loss to Miami and lost to Ohio by nine points.

Tyson Dunn led the team in that loss with 21 points and five rebounds. Buffalo is looking for its first win of the season here at home. Sabol is leading Buffalo in scoring this season. The 6-foot-3 guard is averaging 16.5 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game. He is followed by Dunn, who is averaging 13.1 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 5.7 assists per game.
