The road is where the Eagles have struggled this season improving to 4-9 on the season. Matt Rogers led the way for American with 27 points and Elijah Stephens tied a career-high with 23. The game was a roller coaster of emotions with 14 ties and nine lead changes. It didn’t help with nerves that the Eagles went through 31 team fouls. It was the second game of the season against Lehigh with American completing the season series sweep.
Lafayette (10-15,5-7 Patriot) are also going for back-to-back wins tonight after beating Navy 61-51 at home. Caleb Williams and Justin Vander Baan combined for more than half of Lafayette’s points with 32. Williams led the team with 17 points with 15 of those coming in the second half.
