Tuongthach Gatkek and Little Rock will take on Rob Martin and SE Missouri State in the semifinals of the OVC Tournament on Friday.

No. 4-seeded Little Rock will take the court at the Ford Center in Evansville, Indiana, on Friday night for the first semifinal matchup in the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament against No. 1-seeded SE Missouri with a trip to the championship on the line. The Little Rock Trojans are 19-13 overall this season and finished 12-8 against conference teams, tied with Tennessee State. They entered the tournament in the quarterfinal round because of their seeding, matching up with UT Martin yesterday and walking away with an 82-77 win.

Mwani Wilkinson led the team in scoring with 29 points on 9-of-16 shooting in the win with five rebounds. Tuongthach Gatkek had the team’s only double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds, including five assists. Jonhnathan Lawson also had a great game, finishing with 21 points, five rebounds, and eight assists in arguably the most round performance.

The Southeast Missouri State Redhawks are 20-11 overall this season, also finishing with a 15-5 record against teams in the Ohio Valley Conference. They finished the season with a two-game lead over SIUE. Because of their ranking and the ladder format of the conference tournament, this is their first game of the tournament.

They finished their regular season with a loss by 15 points to Eastern Missouri, leaving a week split between these two games. Rob Martin led the team in scoring throughout the regular season, averaging 14.5 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 4.6 assists per game while averaging 46% from the floor.
