The Liberty Flames face off against the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs on Thursday night in a CUSA battle. The Flames are back home after playing their last three games on the road. They won the first two games on the trip against FIU and Kennesaw State, but fell to Jacksonville State on Saturday 72-61. The loss snapped a three-game winning streak and dropped them to 17-5 on the season and 5-4 in conference play. The Flames will now look to get back in the win column against a Bulldogs team that they lost to 79-74 back on January 11th. They led the Bulldogs by seven at halftime in that game, but were outscored by 11 in the second half and walked away with a loss. Taelon Peter was great in the first game as he scored a team-best 33 points, but it wasn’t enough. Peter is second on the team in scoring at 12.5 points per game. Kaden Metheny is the team’s top scorer at 13.0 points per game.

The Bulldogs lost the two games after their win over the Flames, but they have bounced back to win their last three games and it has pushed their record to 16-6 overall and 5-4 in the CUSA.

All three wins have come at home and they needed overtime to get by Sam Houston on Saturday for that third straight win.

Daniel Batcho has been good for the Bulldogs as he is averaging 18.8 points per game and 7.1 rebounds per game. Kaden Cooper is leading the team with 7.7 rebounds per game while also scoring 10.9 points per game.
