Marquette, the No. 7 ranked men’s college basketball team in the country, will head on the road on Tuesday night for a Big East showdown in college basketball with DePaul at Wintrust Arena. The Marquette Golden Eagles venture into this week in their schedule with a 14-2 record on the season and an undefeated record in the Big East, sitting as the top team in the conference. They are walking a five-game conference win streak into this week dating back to three games in 2024. They took down Butler at home by 10 points, followed by Xavier and Providence on the road before the turn of the year.

Their first game in 2025 ended in an eight-point win over Creighton at home, led by a 22-point performance by Player of the Year candidate Kam Jones, who also had nine rebounds and five assists. Last week, Creighton beat Georgetown at home by eight points as well. Jones is averaging a team-high 19.7 points and 6.4 assists per game this season. David Joplin averages 14.0 points and a team-high 5.6 rebounds per game.

The DePaul Blue Demons have not had the same success this season as Marquette. They are 9-8 overall heading into this week and the No. 10 team in the conference as one of two teams in the Big East without a conference win. They have played four games since the start of January and lost all four games.

They were taken down at home by UConn, 91-68, before heading on the road and losing to Villanova by 44 points. Last week, they lost both games, including a road game against Seton Hall by five points and a home game against Xavier by 14 points. Jacob Meyer leads DePaul in scoring this season, averaging 14.1 points per game. Conor Enright is averaging 7.5 points and a team-high 6.6 rebounds per game.
