After coming into February as an AP Top 25 team, they quickly fell after lossing to UConn, St. John’s, and Creighton in their first three games of the month. However, they have bounced back since then with a 10-point win over DePaul and a 14-point win over Seton Hall earlier this week. Kam Jones led Marquette in scoring in that last win with 14 points on 6-of-12 shooting.

The Villanova Wildcats are 15-12 overall this season, but they will be no easy opponent either. They are 8-8 against teams in the Big East with some big wins and big losses to balance out. They are 3.5 games behind their opponent and just one game behind Xavier, who sits directly in front of them in the standings.

Earlier this month, Villanova took down the giant in St. John’s as one of their two losses at home. Wooga Poplar led the team with 22 points in that win. However, after the momentum seemed to be at its highest, the Wildcats lost their last two games against Providence on the road last weekend and UConn on the road earlier this week.
