Maryland (15-5) comes off its first road win of the season and looking to complete a two-game sweep in the Midwest as it visits Indiana (14-6) at Assembly Hall in Bloomington on Sunday. The Terrapins have won two straight while the Hoosiers come into Sunday off a road loss, with both teams are 5-4 in Big Ten Conference play. Maryland and Indiana last played in the NCAA tournament in 2023, with both teams missing the postseason last spring. The Hoosiers declined an invitation to the NIT, choosing to end its season.

The Terrapins put together a huge second half on Thursday to pull away from No. 17 Illinois for a 91-70 road victory. Julian Reese finished with 27 points, 17 rebounds and three blocks while Derik Queen poured in 25 points. Queen scores 15.6 points per game, Ja’Kobi Gillespie nets 14.4 points a night and Reese averages 13.7 points and 9.2 boards.

Indiana led by seven at the break on Wednesday night before host Northwestern ran away in the second half for a 79-70 win. Mackenzie Mgbako led the offense with 20 points, with Oumar Ballo adding 15 points and seven assists. Ballo averages 14.5 points and 10.2 rebounds, with Malik Reneau, just back from a knee injury, getting 13.3 points per game.

The Hoosiers have won the last three meetings with Maryland to take a 14-9 edge in the all-time series. Kevin Willard is 53-35 in his third season leading the Terrapins while longtime NBA coach Mike Woodson has a 77-46 mark in his fourth year at Indiana.
