Todd Brogna led the Skyhawks offensively with 18 points while Hermann Koffi and Ethan Meuser finished right behind him with 17 points each. Brogna also led the team on the boards, coming up two rebounds short of a double-double with eight on the night. The team shot 40 percent from the field and 41 percent from beyond the arc while going 19-for-23 from the line.

The Lakers are just above the Skyhawks in the league standings with an NEC record of 7-6 and an overall record of 13-15. The team dropped its most recent game to conference-leading Central Connecticut State in a 73-63 defeat. Bernie Blunt III led the team’s offense with 18 points and was joined in double figures by Jeff Planutis and Deshaun Jackson Jr. who scored 14 and 13 points, respectively. Jackson Jr. and Max Jusianiec each pulled down five rebounds to lead the team on the boards. While the team shot 45 percent from the field, it struggled from long range, going just 5-for-24 from the three-point line.

Stonehill and Mercyhurst have only met once before and it took place earlier this season. The Lakers picked up the win in the first meeting by a scored of 76-69 and the Skyhawks will look to even the score on Saturday afternoon.
