Opening January, they took down SMU on the road by 27 points, followed by a home win against Pitt by 29 points. Freshman sensation Cooper Flagg leads the No. 3-ranked team, averaging 19.1 points, 8.3 rebounds, 3.9 assists, 1.6 steals, and 1.3 blocks per game.

The Miami Hurricanes are having a rough season through the midway point. They lost two games before the turn of the year before going down by 10 points to Boston College on New Year’s Day.

They stayed on the road and lost at Virginia Tech by just one point on an and-one layup from Mylyjael Poteat. After that crushing loss, they lost in the middle of last week against Florida State by 15 points. Matthew Cleveland leads Miami on the court this season. The 6-foot-7 guard is averaging 13.5 points, and 4.6 rebounds per game.
