Michigan goes for its eighth straight win on Tuesday night when it takes on Arkansas at Madison Square Garden in college basketball.

The Michigan Wolverines face-off against the Arkansas Razorbacks in the Jimmy V Classic at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday. The Wolverines come into the game on a seven-game winning streak and are 8-1 on the season. The Wolverines have been great in their first year under Dusty May, as they have already gone to Florida and won the Ft. Myers Tip-Off championship over Xavier and then came back home and won their first two Big Ten games over Wisconsin and Iowa. Their tests continue starting on Tuesday against Arkansas before they take on a ranked Oklahoma team in eight days. The Wolverines have been balanced all season as they have four guys averaging between 12 and 12.2 points per game. Roddy Gayle leads the way at 12.2 PPG. Tre Donaldson and Danny Wolfe are right behind him at 12.1 PPG and Vlad Goldin is adding 12.0 PPG. Wolfe is also leading the team in rebounding at 10.0 boards per game.

The Razorbacks come into Tuesday on a two-game winning streak after getting back-to-back wins over Miami and UTSA.

The consecutive wins have pushed their record to 7-2 on the season. They have played well, but are just 1-2 against major conference opponents this season.
