Michigan takes on Maryland on Saturday afternoon in the second semifinal of the Big Ten Basketball Tournament
The Michigan Wolverines face off against the Maryland Terrapins on Saturday afternoon with a berth in the Big Ten championship game on the line. The Wolverines snapped a three-game losing streak on Friday night when they whipped Purdue 86-68 in the quarterfinals. The Wolverines looked the best they have in a month to take down the Boilermaker. They had just six turnovers and it helped them control the second half in the win. This will be the second meeting between the two teams as they played just 10 days ago with the Terrapins getting the 71-65 win in Ann Arbor. The Wolverines will be looking to avenge that loss and earn their second straight win. They will need a big game from Vlad Goldin and Danny Wolf. Goldin is leading the team scoring 16.6 points per game, while Wolf is nearly averaging a double-double at 13.0 points and 9.8 rebounds per game. Tre Donaldson is also averaging in double figures at 11.6 points per game.

The Terrapins will look to slow down the Wolverines bigs as they try and beat them for a second straight time.
The Terrapins looked great in their quarterfinal game against Illinois. They scored 57 points in the first half and led by 26 at the break and cruised in the second half.
The Terrapins led by as many as 36 in the second half Rodney Rice scored 26 points and he is now averaging 14.1 points per game.
Derik Queen is the team’s top scorer at 15.8 points and he is also their leading rebounder at 9.2 boards per game.
