The Mississippi State Bulldogs begin a two-game road trip on Saturday afternoon when it takes on the Oklahoma Sooners. The Bulldogs come into Saturday on a two-game winning streak and it has pushed their record to 19-7 overall and 7-6 in the SEC. They had struggled for a month as they had lost six of nine games, but they have bounced back with wins against Ole Miss and Texas A&M. The Rebels and Aggies were both ranked and it was resume-building wins for the Bulldogs. They need to keep winning, though, if they want to solidify their spot in the NCAA Tournament. The Bulldogs have been led by Josh Hubbard who is scoring a team-high 17.8 points per game. KeShawn Muprhy is the team’s top rebounder at 7.5 boards per game while also scoring 11.2 points per game. Cluadell Harris Jr. is the only player scoring in double figures at 10.2 points per game.

The Sooners come into Saturday in desperate need of a win. They have lost five in a row and it has dropped them to 16-10 overall and 3-10 in the SEC. They finished their non-conference schedule undefeated, but they have struggled in thier first season in the SEC and are now firmly on the bubble.

They did beat a ranked Vanderbilt team at the beginning of February, but they are 1-6 in ranked games in conference play this season.

In their last four games against a ranked opponents they have lost by double figures. Their closest game in that stretch was a 70-52 setback to No. 4 Tennessee.

The Sooners have been led by Jalon Moore who is scoring 17.0 points per game. Jermiah Fears and Duke Miles are also scoring in double figures at 15.5 and 10.4 points per game respectively.
