Since the Commodores first loss of the season they have also won seven straight games, all by at least eight points. This is the Commodores first matchup with a ranked opponent, which will be a major test for junior Jason Edwards and the 14th highest scoring offense in the country.

Edwards brings his scoring prowess from North Texas averaging 18.3 points per game on 39% shooting from three. This is Edwards second season in Division 1 basketball, making the most of his opportunity shining for the Mean Green before transferring to lead the Commodores this season.

Three other Commodores are averaging double-figures in scoring with junior Devin McGlockton (11.6 points and 8.4 rebounds), junior Tyler Nickel (10.7 points on 37.9% shooting from three) and senior A.J. Hoggard (10.5 points and 4.3 assists per game).

For the Bulldogs, they can also score with the best teams in the country led by sophomore Josh Hubbard. He picked up right where he left off last season averaging 17.7 points, 3.1 assists and 2.3 rebounds per game on 39% shooting from three this season. This offensive showdown could be the game of the day in college basketball.
