On Saturday, it will face off against Montana State at Worthington Arena. The Montana Grizzlies are 19-8 overall this season, and their conference record matches. They are 12-2 against teams in the Big Sky, sitting on top of the conference standings. They are directly one game in front of Northern Colorado with a total of 9.5 games separating the top and the bottom, 2-11 Sacramento State.

They extended their winning streak to eight games over the weekend, beating Weber State at home by eight points. That win came just two days after they took down Idaho State at home by 13 points. Malik Moore led Montana in scoring with 22 points on 8-of-13 shooting and a team-high four assists. Te’jon Sawyer was the only other player in double figures with 17 points and four rebounds with three assists.

The Montana State Bobcats are 12-15 overall this season. However, after going 5-8 against teams outside of the conference, they have since won seven games and lost seven games against Big Sky teams. At 7-7, they are a half-game in front of Idaho State, Idaho, and Eastern Washington while also sitting 1.5 games behind Portland State.

They won both their games last weekend as well, beating Weber State by eight points at home on Thursday, followed by a five-point win over Idaho State last weekend on Saturday. Jabe Mullins led the team with 17 points in that last win in 28 minutes off the bench. Brandon Walker led the starters with 15 points and four assists with two rebounds.
