The Lipscomb Bison take on the North Alabama Lions on Sunday afternoon in the Atlantic Sun Conference Championship game. The Bison come into the championship game on a five-game winning streak and winners of 10 of their last 11 games. The first victory of the five-game winning streak came against the Lions and avenged an earlier season loss to them. The Bison finished tied with the Lions for first place in the conference standings and the winner of the game on Sunday will earn the automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament. The Bison got to the finals by beating Central Arkansas 84-66 in the quarterfinals and then Queens in overtime 81-75 in the semifinals. The Bison trailed in the semifinals by 10 points with 7:43 left in the game, but came all the way back to avoid the upset and make the finals. Joe Anderson led all scorers in the semifinals with 25 points. Jacob Ognacevic added 21 points and grabbed a team-high 12 rebounds to help the Bison get the win.

The Lions will have to slow down the duo if they want to get past the Bison and earn a trip to the Big Dance.

The Lions have also been hot as they come into Sunday on a four-game losing streak and they have won 10 of their last 11 games. Their only loss during that stretch was to the Bison on Feb. 20.

The Lions have had an easier path to the finals as they knocked off Austin Peay 90-64 in the quarterfinals and then Jacksonville 78-63 in the semifinals.

Jacari Lane has been the leading scorer in each of the last three games and he scored 31 points in the win over Austin Peay.
