After that loss, they went on the road and lost a quad-one game to Wake Forest, also by just one point, 67-66. Davis dropped 21 points in that loss, while Cadeau finished with a massive double-double with 14 points and 13 assists with five rebounds. The team only had 14 points of production off the bench and only two starters in double figures. They snapped the losing streak with an overtime win over Boston College last Saturday, led by a 22-point performance from Davis.

The Pittsburgh Panthers head into this game with a 13-6 record overall and a 4-4 record against conference teams in the ACC. After winning their first two games of the month, they went on a four-game losing streak that started against No. 2-ranked Duke on the road by 29 points. After that, they lost to Louisville at home by five points.

It continued with a road loss to Florida State by 12 points and a home loss against Clemson in overtime by three points. They snapped that losing streak on Saturday with a four-point win over Syracuse on the road. Jaland Lowe led the game with 22 points on 8-of-19 shooting in the win and a team-high six assists. Ishmael Leggett also had 16 points and six rebounds on 6-of-11 shooting.
