Connor Essegian and Nebraska will take the court against Josh Harris and North Florida on Sunday afternoon.

North Florida will travel to Lincoln, Nebraska, this weekend in men’s college basketball on Sunday afternoon. In Lincoln, they will take on Nebraska on their home court at Pinnacle Bank Arena. The Cornhuskers come into this weekend with a 5-1 record under their belt. They took down UT Rio Grande in their season-opening and home-opening game by 20 points. They followed it up with two other home wins against Bethune Cookman and Fairleigh Dickinson. They lost their only game in their first road game against Saint Mary’s.

They stayed on the road and took down the former No. 14-ranked Creighton by 11 points in their biggest win of the season. In their last game, they beat South Dakota at home. Connor Essegian led the team in that win dropping 29 points. He is averaging 13.5 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.2 assists on the season, second to Brice Williams, who is averaging 18.7 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game.

The Ospreys are 5-2 overall this season coming into the weekend. They opened up the season with a huge road win against SEC opponent South Carolina by three points. They went home and beat Charleston Southern before going back on the road and beating ACC side Georgia Tech by 12 points. After starting the season 3-0, they would lose two straight games.

They were taken down on the road by Georgia and at home against UNC Asheville. They got back on the winning side, beating Edward Waters and SIUE before this contest. Josh Harris led the way in that last win with 20 points. He is leading the team, averaging 15.4 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 1.3 steals per game this season.
