Michigan returns home on Sunday afternoon to take on Northwestern in a Big Ten battle

The Michigan Wolverines look to bounce back from a loss on Sunday afternoon when they take on the Northwestern Wildcats. The Wolverines come into Sunday fresh off an overtime loss to Minnesota on Thursday night. The Wolverines led by as many as 11 in the game and had a two-point lead with less than a minute, but they couldn’t close it out and lost on a logo three-pointer at the buzzer in the extra period. The loss was the first for the Wolverines in the Big Ten this season and dropped them to 13-4 overall and 5-1 in conference play. They had won five in a row coming into their game with Minnesota and were a perfect 3-0 in true road games until the loss. Danny Wolf led the way with 23 points and 10 rebounds, but missed free throws in the second half doomed them. Wolf is averaging a double-double on the season with 13.0 points and 10.1 rebounds per game. Vlad Goldin is the team’s top scorer at 15.6 points per game, while Tre Donaldson, Roddy Gayle Jr. and Nimari Burnett are all averaging double figures as well.
