The Georgia Tech Ramblin’ Wreck will host the Notre Dame Fighting Irish at McCamish Pavilion in Atlanta on Tuesday afternoon as the teams enter the thick of their ACC schedule to close out the year. The Yellow Jackets come into Tuesday’s game with an overall record of 6-7 and are currently at the bottom of the ACC standings with a conference record of 0-2 so far. The team has played four ranked opponents so far this season, but has been unable to pull off the upset in any of them. On Saturday, the Ramblin’ Wreck hosted Alabama A&M, winning handily in a 92-49 victory. Lance Terry led all scorers with 22 points, but three other Yellow Jackets joined him in double figures on the way to a big win. Aaron Smith came off the bench to lead the team on the boards, pulling down six rebounds in his 16 minutes of play.

The Fighting Irish bring an overall record of 7-5 into Tuesday’s game and the team is currently undefeated in ACC play at 1-0. Notre Dame has now won three straight games with the most recent being a 91-62 win over Le Moyne just before the holiday break in front of 5,000 fans. Tae Davis scored a game-high 24 points to lead the Fighting Irish offensively while Braeden Shrewsberry and Logan Imes joined him in double figures with 14 and 11 points, respectively. Garrett Sundra came off the bench to pull down a team-high eight rebounds, but was unable to put any points on the scoreboard.

Notre Dame and Georgia Tech last met during the ACC Tournament last season and the Fighting Irish earned a narrow 84-80 victory to eliminate the Yellow Jackets from postseason play.
